PSYCROPTIC Cancels MARYLAND DEATHFEST Appearance, MALEVOLENT CREATION Steps In

April 12, 2007

The organizers of the Maryland Deathfest, which is set to take place May 26-27 at the Sonar in Baltimore, have issued the following update:

"Due to reasons beyond the control of both Maryland Deathfest and PSYCROPTIC, the band has been forced to cancel [its appearance at the festival]. [PSYCROPTIC] has issed the following statement regarding the cancellation:

"'PSYCROPTIC regret to announce that they have been forced to cancel their scheduled appearance at this years Maryland Deathfest. The band were very much looking forward to playing their first U.S. show at the fest, but due to circumstances beyond both the band's and the MDF promoters control the appearance has to be cancelled. All efforts were made to make it happen, but in the end it was out of everyone's hands.'

"Yeah, we know it sucks. MALEVOLENT CREATION has been confirmed to appear at Maryland Deathfest on Sunday, May 27th. The website will be updated later with an updated running order for the 27th."
